Q. When was the Jess Ranch Development established?

 

A. The development of Jess Ranch began in 1985 and now has well over 1,000 residents. This community offers a comfortable lifestyle for the active adult, whether retired or still working. A permissable resident must be 55 years of age or older. The spouse of a permissable resident can be any age.

 

Q. Is Jess Ranch a gated community?

 

A. Yes. Jess Ranch is a guarded community, with it's own 24-hour Security Service. There are two access gates into the community and residents are given vehicle identification codes for private access.

 

Q. How many condominiums are in BrookHollow?

 

A. BrookHollow is a Senior living development built in 2007 with units available for lease, which consists of two (2-story) buildings. Each building houses 26 condos, has it's own elevator and stair access to the second floor, plus each building centers around a warm and inviting courtyard with a grand water fountain. Each condominium has its own outdoor patio.

 

Q. Are there Homeowners Association Fees for Jess Ranch residents?

 

A. Yes. It's included in the lease, which covers the Club House, security services and maintenance, maintenance of the grounds, insurance, water and trash. 

 

 

Q. Are garage spaces available?

 

A. Each BrookHollow resident gets one carport space per home, with overhead storage. Only private passenger vehicles are permitted and vehicles shall not protrude past the rear post. All cars parked at BrookHollow open parking must have a resident sticker or guest parking pass. Vehicles not displaying proper identification are subject to towing. No owner shall conduct major repairs to any motor vehicle in their carport or common parking area.

 

Q. Is additional storage available if I need it?

 

A. Residents may request an on-site storage room at a cost of $30.00 per month and $100 deposit. A limited number of storage rooms are available and may be requested at time of move in. If none are available, your name can be added to a waiting list.

 

Q. I have an RV. Where can I store it?

 

A. There are several storage facilities nearby, such as: Extra Space Storage on Town Center Dr. at (888) 609-8483; Bear Valley RV & Self Storage on Bear Valley Rd. at (760) 523-2766; Victor Valley Self Storage on Ridgecrest Rd. at (760) 245-0300.

 

Q. Is there an initiation or membership fee to join the nearby golf club?

 

A. The Ashwood Golf Course is open to the public with a variety of memberships to choose from. The local Apple Valley Golf Course is also open to the public.

 

Q. Is there shopping nearby?

 

A. Jess Ranch is conveniently located directly behind the Jess Ranch Marketplace, which includes retail outlets, restaurants, banking, drug stores, and more. Just across the way is Mojave River Crossings Complex, which also includes major retailers and numerous restaurants.

 

Q. What medical facilities are nearby?

 

A. Medical Services are provided by three major hospitals, with another one being planned in the near future. The hospitals are St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center; Victor Valley Hospital and Desert Valley Hospital. There are also many well qualified doctors and specialists in the area.

 

Jess Ranch residents live independently; however, there are several skilled nursing facilities close by.

 

Q. Can my children and grandchildren visit?

 

A. Absolutely! Children, grandchildren and other guests are welcome and may visit up to 60 calendar days per year.

 

Q. Am I allowed to have pets?

 

A. Residents are allowed to have one common household pet; A dog, cat or a bird. The size of the dog or cat shall be limited to a maximum of twenty (20) pounds. The one exception would be a dog needed as a seeing-eye dog. Only small, quiet birds are allowed. Species excluded are large, talking birds, such as: parrots, macaws, mimic birds, etc.

 

Pets are not permitted to be left outside on the patio or balcony when owners are away. Pets are also to be kept on a leash and are not permitted on landscape area.
